We can inmortalize the object(s) on a Still Life painting that can be hung in a special place so it´d produce smiles when is being look at. Like the piece “Molino de mi Abuelita Carlota” (Mill of my Grandma Carlota), as everytime I look at it I remember my Grandma, Doña Carlota De la Fuente, as it portraits the old mill and baking supplies that she used when she baked cookies for me, my brother and sisters when we were small kids. In that time, the electric choppers/mills were not around, and neither existed packaged ground cinammon, so she milled the cinammon sticks in this very particular mill and we helped her. I remember the kitchen being intoxicated with the powerfull and delicious smell of pure cinammon and the cookies tasted like heaven. I could eat them all day long. |
